Just a Few New Photos

Getting excited about the upcoming weekend, we're going to be attending cousin Ben & Mandy's wedding in Des Moines, then heading off to the Grand Harbor in Dubuque to take the kids to the waterpark and river museum.

BIRTHDAY BASH

Since summer is so hectic, and everyone has lots of plans, we've decided to have 1 party for the kids this year, hopefully that way more family will be able to attend, it's always so great to get eveyone together at the end of the summer and what better way to spend time together than eating cake and watching the kids have fun. Here's a little preview of the invitation:

I asked Katelyn what she'd like for her birthday and she said "A PUPPY and SANDWICHES WITH CHEESE!" yikes that's a tall order.

In honor of Katelyn, Chase and cousin Ashers up-coming September Birthdays I took this picture up on mainstreet... hard to believe by the end of next month they'll be 1-2 & 3!

JUST A MONTH

It's official, Katelyn no longer enjoys having her picture taken :( Luckily our neighbors have a **BEAUTIFUL** backyard complete with golfish pond, it's like having a botanical garden just across the alley, this makes it a little easier, now if I could just get her to stop smiling with her eyes closed!

It's amazing how much she and her hair have grown in just one month, the 1st 2 photos were taken the end of June, the 2nd 2 I took this weekend...

Not a BABY anymore :(

Tomorrow Chase will be 11months old. He's been pulling him self up on anything he can get his hands on, but shows NO INTEREST in walking, which is OK with me! This of course means that Katelyn and her hair are safe from her little brothers grasp, for at least a few more weeks.

AUGUST ALREADY!

Hard to believe it's already August, summer has always flew by fast, but this year is a record setter. I'm alarmed by the fact that santa is started to show up in retail stores everywhere.

We have a jam packed month planned, we're looking forward to a few weddings and family gatherings and are starting to prepair for the upcoming September birthdays. We'll have Chase turning 1 on the fifth, cousin Asher turning 2 on the seventh and Katelyn turning 3 on the twenty-seventh. Katelyn is the only one that seems to think birthdays are a big ta-do... yesterday I asked what she would think if we got a new kitten to keep RICKY, her big yellow tabby, company. She said "NO MOM! I want a the puppy for my birthday" Man is she going to be upset when she opens that box. She's getting a kid digital camera, she's getting really good with mine, but I'm not sure how much longer it can stand up to her.
