LONG TIME NO BLOG....

BUSY seemed to be September's THEME... but I am going to make sure I update at least once a week since I've been slacking off :(

We recently experienced a great loss with the death of my Grandpa Gleason, he was a truely wonderful individual and will be greatly missed by all.

The kids are staying busy, and we've been trying to get out as much as possible since the weather is getting cold. Last Friday cousin Jonny came over for a sleep-over while his sister Bailey went to see Miley Cyrus in Des Moines.

Saturday was Mark's 28th birthday WOW TIME FLIES we had our 5yr wedding anniversary in August (we started dating 10yrs ago last June)

DANCING QUEEN

Katelyn started dance Monday - something she has been REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO
I was standing in line waiting to pay for her registration and she kept glaring at me and saying YOU CAN GO MOM.... GO :) After we picked her up she showed me her moves in the living room, we were instructed to sit on the couch and clap when she was done.

Last week Katelyn sat down after supper and WROTE HER NAME! we were SOOOOOOOOOOO excited (seeing as this is something we hadn't been working on with her) and this Monday she started Preschool with her "almost 1/2 the size of her" Little Pony bag... here she is grinning ear-to-ear:

Cousin Kelly's son Ian is back in Iowa for a few weeks so we took some IOWA senior pictures... it was a lot of fun!

COMPUTER GEEKS

We set up Grandma Sue's old computer in the spare room for the kids... they are REALLY enjoying it :) Katelyn has better computer skills @ 3 than I did when I started high school

A VISIT TO THE FARM

This weekend we finally had some free time and took a break from home projects and yardwork to go visit an old family friend. Growing up we loved going to Erica & Edwin's farm, up the gravel from my Grandpa's farm, my dad and brothers all spent time there growing up.

Erica is 92 years old and still one of the most witty and wonderful women I know! Here are a few snapshots from our visit:
